Sandy Help.

Yesterday I went with friends Jodie and Heather to Rockaway and Breezy Point to volunteer our help to those whom have the wrath of Hurricane Sandy.
What I saw was devastating, way worse than reported on the news.
Rockaway Blvd looks reminiscent of images captured from WW2 bomb sites, whole blocks burnt to cinders, just a few bricks still remaining, people wondering the streets not knowing what to do.
We helped sort the donations and food, delivering to other locations, Although felt like we could do so much more, especially with clean up.
I took a lot of pictures and will be posting more on my Facebook to raise awareness of how bad some places really are and I urge anyone who has a day or afternoon free, to go and offer your help, every little counts and this clean up and rebuild will go on for months. I for one will definitely go back as much as I can.
You can go to this Facebook page for more info on how you can help out in Rockaway http://www.facebook.com/LavaGirlSurf
